Making french fries at home can be done one of two ways. The first way, the more convenient way, is to make frozen fries. These can be found in the frozen foods aisle of any grocery store. To make them, you simply follow the instructions on the side of the bag, and they’ll be good to go. If you want to make homemade french fries, that’s a more involved process.

You have to peel the potatoes. Then you have to slice them into strips - usually done with a french fry slicer, which not many of us have around the house. Then you deep fry them in oil, and you have to make sure that you can get them out of the oil safely. So you need to have some kind of a deep fry basket that is compatible with whatever cookware you have.
