Nothing. We have never had a bounced check, credit card chargeback, or someone pay an account late.
We use an attorney.

If your business has never had a bounced check, credit card chargeback, or someone pay its account late you either only accept cash or are limiting your sales. Even the best of customers will bounce a check or pay a bill late. The chances of collecting upon an open account balance decreases every month it is in collections. Collection companies can make phone calls, send letters, and possible start reporting on someones credit, but they cannot file lawsuits. The downside is collection companies usually require 33-50% to collect. Collection attorneys often charge lower rates if you cut out the middleman (because much of their business comes from the collection company you hired). They too can work on a contingency basis and can proceed with the process more quickly since they can initiate lawsuits.
