A sale is an act of selling goods and services for a price, and the ambition of a salesman first and foremost is to obtain a profit from a sale. Sales mostly involve sales agents. A service can also take place before or during a sale, depending upon what the service is, and the aim is to increase customer satisfaction. Salespeople can have reputations for treating people like a target. This situation is especially true with someone like a car salesman. The salesman in this situation tends to try and screw the customer. Salespeople can also be greedy for commission. A service, on the contrary, typically has the desire to support and protect the customer. A good service's goals are to counteract customer challenges with an item, guide operation, help in sales, create a bond with the customer, and answer detailed questions. An example of a service is the food industry. This industry has the unique task of making the customer happy, such as the waiter, the cook, the manager, and the greeter.

Sales can be described as a kind of activity that has to do with the sales of goods and services, most likely having the making of profits as its primary aim, and usually involve sales agents. On the other hand, the support provided to a customer after goods or services have been bought is referred to as a service. This is an act that can take place during or before sales to meet the customer's satisfaction. In the case of sales, the sales agent usually has a target to meet up with, but there is relatively nothing like a target in service. Sales are more effective in getting profit, and it works more towards getting new clients, while services are more effective in meeting the customer's satisfaction and making them happy, and, in the long run, help to earn more customers out of goodwill. Interaction in sales occurs before sales are made, while in service, interaction occurs after-sales.

When you say “sales,” this means that you are trying to sell some products to a person or you are trying to provide some goods in exchange for money. When you say “service,” you are providing some of the things that customers may need so that you can improve your overall sales. People may sometimes say that they did not push through with the sale because they have gotten poor service from the company. Sales and service usually go together because you need to provide products that are sellable. At the same time, you need to promote your product effectively with the use of proper service to make sure that things will be properly sold.
