How would you enable remarks in Excel that show the comment 'Passed' when marks are higher than 40 and 'Failed' when marks are less than it?

This is a simple “Pass/Fail” logic equation. If you were doing this in cell A2, for example, the equation would read “A2<70, “FAIL”, “PASS””. This would indicate a passing score above 70, but anything below that as a failing score. For the example in this question, just replace the 70 with 40. Copy the formula into the rest of the cells, simply replacing the cell number with the proper cell number.

This will give you a “Pass” in the all the cells where the score is above 40, but anything below 40 will be given a “fail” in the corresponding box. This can be done with any score as the pass mark (for example, a really easy weighted test could have a passing score of 80 instead of 50 or 40).

You can achieve this using Excel formulas in a cell next to the marks retro bowl
