There are two different programs on the computer that people use to send documents. These are PDF and DOC. PDF is a Portable Document Format, and DOC means Document File Format. Both are file formats in which any type of document can be saved. They are easy to send and can be accessed effortlessly even by people who lack experience handling them. PDF was created by Adobe, while Microsoft created DOC. Each company has also delivered software that can be used to create and edit documents in their file formats. A prominent difference between the two is that each platform’s ability to edit content. The most significant difference between the two is content delivery. Documents created in DOC formats are less precise and reliable compared to PDF files, which maintain everything that has been written and saved in the document. DOC files can be made in Word and then saved in PDF format.

PDF and DOC are two popular formats with which you can save your documents. The full meaning of PDF is Portable Document Format, while DOC is usually as with the Microsoft Word document. And this would lead us to the companies that developed the two formats. PDF was developed by Adobe Systems, Microsoft is credited for the invention of DOC. At the same time, these respected companies have released software that you can use to view and probably edit the file formats: Acrobat is made for the PDF format and Microsoft Word for the DOC format. However, you will find it easy to explore DOC files than PDF files. You can use Microsoft Word for your work and save it in PDF format, but you cannot edit even your pdf files with Acrobat. Nevertheless, pdf is very good when it comes to the delivery of documents, as it can be more trusted to maintain the content of your work.

There are different file extensions that will be used by your computer when it is saving some files on your computer. When you say .pdf, this means that the file is saved as something that you have opened with the use of Adobe Acrobat. You should also know that .pdf is also created by Adobe. When you say .doc, this is a file that you can have when you have saved your Word document while using Microsoft word. Take note that .doc is created by Windows. There are instances when you need to have different programs to ensure that you can convert .doc files to .pdf files and vice versa.
