Some people interchange the meaning of health and wellness as they think that both have the same meaning and function. However, there is truly a difference between health and wellness with the former being physically and mentally well, and the former being the way of living of an individual.

When we talk about health, it means a person is free from any physical disease, mentally stable or has a goal that he or she wants to achieve such as losing weight, lowering cholesterol or blood pressure and gaining muscles. When we talk about wellness, it means that a person strives to balance his or her seven health dimensions such as his or her physical, spiritual, social, emotional, environmental, intellectual and emotional well-being.

Health is is a condition of your physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. Wellness is the state of good health achieved by balancing your physical, mental, emotional, and social health.
