There are 6 basic nutrients required for good health. They include:

• Carbohydrates: Carbs provide the energy that we use to fuel our muscles and our brains.

• Proteins: Protein provides our bodies with amino acids, which are used for building and repairing muscles and red blood cells. Consuming enough protein each day is also important to support a healthy immune system.

• Fat: Though fats have a negative reputation, they’re an important part of your diet. You should eat a healthy mix of saturated and unsaturated fats to help your body properly absorb vitamins and minerals.

• Vitamins: There are 13 different vitamins, it you should consume recommended amounts of each kind.

• Minerals: These are found in foods and supplements and help support our body’s health.

• Water: Most of your body is made of water, and you should drink at least 64 ounces each day.
