Due to the rise in fast food chains throughout the country, it has become an important part of the economy. Many people will buy these foods in order to save time. This money then stays in the community. When more and more people are buying and eating fast foods, they are causing the franchise to build more of these restaurants. When this happens, more jobs are opening up and available to people.

On the other hand, when the people eat these foods, they may become obese and experience health problems. This could lead to more money having to be spent on health care. The health insurance companies believe this has a negative impact on the economy. They are having to provide more services to these people.
