McDonalds and Wendy’s are household names. They seem to have been around for hundreds of years. However, they have been around for many years, but their popularity didn’t rise until the past few decades. More and more fast food restaurants have popped up over time. The reason for their popularity is probably due to people working more and working longer hours.

Women started to go back into the workforce because the families needed to be a two-income family. As a result, picking up dinner for the spouse and kids made it very easy and affordable instead of slaving over a hot stove after working all day. As a result of eating more fried foods at these establishments, people have become overweight.
