Ticks are parasites which feed not only on animals, but also on the blood of humans. Some people remove ticks by squeezing them, but this method is not advisable since they can inject their saliva and other infectious contents into your system when they are squeezed. If you want to remove ticks, use fine-tipped tweezers. Once you have this, make sure to grasp the tick as close to your skin’s surface. Pull the tick upward and make sure not to twist or jerk the tick because it can break off.
Once you have successfully removed the tick, make sure to clean the area with soap and water or alcohol. Properly dispose of the tick by soaking it in alcohol and then place it in a sealed bag or container.
