Yes and No, certain countries require you to have a degree, whilst a TEFL Cetrificate can assist in you working and teaching overseas.

Hi... which countries are fine with just the tefl and practical hours teaching kids obtained before the tefl course was done?

False

No. you do not need to have a degree to teach English abroad. It must however be noted that most employers/countries will require that English teachers have a Bachelors degree and a TEFL/TESOL qualification to be issued with a work visa/permit. It is therefore important to do relevant research before undertaking your TEFL journey.*##**##*
