Rhine land is the first territory Adolf Hitler took over when he became chancellor. Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party overtook Rhineland after violating the Treaty of Versailles.
It was exactly eight months after the treaty of Versailles was signed in July 1919 that the German invaded. It began on 7 March 1936, when the German military took over the Rhineland in the agreement of the treaty of Versailles and Locarno treaties.
Rhineland came under German after the First World War. German military was later forbidden from all the west of Rhineland and within 50 kilometers east of Rhineland under the 1919 treaty of Versailles.
