The largest island is the Greenland Island located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, Northeast of Canada, North Atlantic Ocean.

The island is about 836,000 square miles (2.17 million square kilometers). One of its special feature is its massive ice sheet, which is about 80 percent of the country, the next largest island is New Guinea which is about 303,381 square miles (785,753 square miles).

It is located on the Gulf of Carpentaria, 100 miles north of Australia. It has over 11.31 million populations. Borneo is the third largest island in the world it is about 288,869 square miles (748,168 square kilometer).

Madagascar (Main Island) is the fourth largest island in the world which is about 226,917 square miles (587,713 square kilometer). Baffin (194 574 square miles).
