One of the main differences between glass and quartz is the molecular structure that they have. Glass is known to have a random molecular structure, which means that it will be hard to find another object that will have the same molecular structure all the time. Quartz, on the other hand, is known to come with asymmetrical molecular structure.

When it comes to their ability to withstand temperature, quartz is known to be more effective in going against great temperature and pressure as compared to glass. Glass is usually very delicate and will be able to break easily. Another difference is the fact that glass is an insulator, while quartz is known to be a conductor.
