When you say “assessment,” this is known to be the feedback that is usually given by the students to the teachers that they have met throughout the year or the entire sem. The students will have the chance to rate their teachers based on the things that they have learned and how the teachers were able to teach them their lessons properly. When you say “evaluation,” this would refer to the use of different methods to know how much students have learned from the lessons. It is the teacher’s job to evaluate the students through seat works, assignments, and also tests. Projects may be used as one of the methods to know how much students have learned.

Assessment and evaluation are two important phases of any scientific study or inquiry. One of the major differences between the two is that the assessment phase usually comes first of a scientific study or inquiry to be conducted on a subject, while "evaluation" happens to be the last phase of any scientific inquiry.

The term assessment entails all processes or activities done to make sure that the data regarding a subject is clearly gotten. The record should contain a list of things you have observed or information gotten from the subject within a particular period of time. An assessment will give you the preliminary evidence or information you need for your study and will help you know if there has been any change in your findings after some time.

On the other hand, an evaluation usually comes as the last phase of evaluation, and it is intended to show if all the stated objectives during the preliminary phase were met. An evaluation will help you know if you have achieved the goals of the study.

Evaluation and assessment are two concepts related to the educational field. The evaluation focuses on a number of aspects related to the student. One of those is the grades, which sees how well the student is performing in the class.

Another aspect of evaluation is related to class participation, which sees how often they engage with classroom activities and with their peers.

Attendance is also crucial to evaluation because a student must be present to have good grades and to participate in classroom actives. The assessment focuses on how the classroom environment impacts how well a teacher is able to do their job and how well a student learns.

Evaluation and assessment are two variables that factor into your education. The evaluation focuses on grades and classroom participation and everything pertinent to that. Attendance is another portion that you might not expect to be a component of the evaluation, but it is.

The assessment checks the scope of the effect that learning in a classroom has on students and teachers; it is crucial for learning about the relationship between student and teacher. Therefore, it is less outcome-based and far more concerned with the result of contact in the classroom.

The information is often utilized to make changes in the classroom if need be, whereas evaluation is more product-oriented about what has been learned. An evaluation may also challenge the students to learn at a mastery level. Also, since the focus is on grades, the evaluation makes it possible to measure the desired outcome

The main difference between assessment and evaluation is that the assessment focuses on the process, while evaluation focuses on the product. Assessment is the activity of collecting, examining, and using information for improvement. The term can be utilized in a variety of ways that include educational, psychological, financial, taxation, and resources.

Evaluation is an act of passing judgment based on set guidelines. It is the systematic process of determining whether goals are met or not. The feedback for assessment is based on observation and positive and negative attributes. The input for evaluation is based on the measure of quality as per the set standard.

The relationship between parties with assessment is reflective, meaning the criteria are set by both parties together. The relationship between parties for evaluation is prescriptive, in which an evaluator sets the requirements.
