Avastin is chiefly an anti-cancer drug used to treat glioblastoma. It is particularly helpful if the cancer is progressing or if it has returned. This drug is also used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer. Metastatic kidney cancer is another condition in which Avastin has been proven effective. This drug is injected intravenously every two weeks.

Lucentin is solely utilized for the treatment of eye conditions such as wet age-related macular degeneration, and macular edema follows retinal vein occlusion and diabetic muscular edema. This drug is injected directly into the eyeball, and it should only be used under the supervision of a highly skilled specialist. Lucentin is safe with minimal side effects.
