Zyrtec and Zyrtec-D are both medications that assist with the reduction of uncomfortable allergy symptoms. Zyrtec is available in 5mg and 10 mg capsules and chewable tablets, as well as 1 mg/ml syrup. It is supposed to be the next option if and after an antihistamine does not work.

Zyrtec D is indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, sneezing, and rhinorrhea, and GlaxoSmithKline makes it. Zyrtec treats allergic rhinitis, nasal pruritis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and non-nasal symptoms associated with conjunctivitis. Duncan Pharmaceuticals make regular Zyrtec. Zyrtec and Zyrtec D are both over the counter medications that require being taken responsibly.

Zyrtec and Zyrtec -D are one of the many medications that allow easing many symptoms of allergy that cannot be treated by just one conventional antihistamine. The generic name of Zyrtec is Cetirizine for immediate release, while the generic name of Zyrtec-D Cetirizine plus pseudoephedrine for extended-release.

Zyrtec D also contains ingredients magnesium stearate and Hypromellose, while Zyrtec, on the other hand, only contains Cetirizine. Zyrtec D is suggested for allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, sneezing, and rhinorrhea.

At the same time, Zyrtec is indicated for allergic rhinitis, nasal pruritus, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and non-nasal symptoms, which are correlated with conjunctivitis. The manufacturer of Zyrtec D is GlaxoSmithKline, while the manufacturer of Zyrtec is Duncan.

There are a lot of people who know that Zyrtec D and Zyrtec are medications that people use in order to relieve nasal congestion. Zyrtec D will have pseudoephedrine, which is known to be very good in decongesting your congested nose.

This means that while Zyrtec can only be effective in treating congestion, but Zyrtec D is also a decongestant and antihistamine at the same time. There are some people who will have a lot of symptoms that they would like to get relief from.

Some of the cold and allergy symptoms that will be treated are sneezing, itching, watery eyes, runny nose and so much more.

Allergies are a common condition that many people may suffer from. A person's allergies may be triggered by weather changes or being allergic to smell or food. There are many medications on the market to help a person that is suffering from allergies. Two are Zyrtec and Zyrtec D. They are both made by the same company for the use in helping with allergies, but there are differences between them. One difference is that Zyrtec D can also be used to treat congestion, along with allergies, while Zyrtec is only used for allergies. Another difference between the two is that Zyrtec D is stronger than Zyrtec.
