The seed is considered to be the embryo that can be found inside the seed coat. This is known to have the ability to store food for the new plant until such time when it will be able to produce its own food. A bulb may somewhat look similar to some seeds, but this is something that can be found underground.

This is considered to be an underground shoot that will have its own leaves. Most bulbs become ready when its leaves start to go through the soil. Bulbs will need a little bit more maintenance as compared to seeds. Seeds will require different types of cultivation, depending on the seed type.
