The ScrumMaster is responsible for facilitating the Sprint Retrospective meeting. A sprint retrospective meeting is a formal team meeting held after the sprint to reflect on the work that has been done, the goals attained as well as the potential ideas for more improvement in the subsequent iteration.

The ScrumMaster can simplify the meeting requesting everyone to voice out their ideas during the scrum. He/she can further ask each individual to find any one thing to start, stop, or continue doing. Or for instance, the ScrumMaster can tell all to concentrate on identifying something to stop this time due to the fact that much attention has not to be given to things to stop in the latest retrospectives.

Once the first list of ideas has been suggested. Teams will usually vote on particular items to focus on during the next sprint to bring about improvement in performance.

A team member or another scrum master is responsible for facilitating the meeting. However, the scrum master does not have to facilitate every event. On the other hand, as a scrum master, you are also part of the scrum team, and it is the scrum team that participates in the retrospective.

• Within the scrum guide, it says that the scrum master serves the other roles by facilitating scrum events as requested or required.

• The scrum master guarantees that the sprint retrospective meeting is beneficial.

• The scrum master urges the scrum team to improve within the scrum process structure.

• It’s a development process, and practices make it more useful and enjoyable for the next sprint.

• The scrum master is a coach, as it is his responsibility to arbitrate as a coach.

• It usually comes down to the knowledge of the scrum team.

• It would help if you made sure that all of your team is actively participating and working toward the goal.
