Oil and grease are most times use for the same purpose; they are sometimes confused for the same thing as they both perform the function of lubrication. They are both derived from animal fats. Oils can also be derived from plants, seeds and while grease can be created from different minerals such as silicon, carboxymethyl cellulose, and fluorometer mixed with compounds such as tar, mica, and graphite.
At room temperature, oil is liquid while grease is solid, oil gets solid when subjected to extremely low temperature, and evaporates at really high temperature. Greases are usually thicker than oil.
Oil is versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes, it can be used to cook, as a lubricant, styling your hair and soothing the body, and other non-industrial use while the greases are used primarily for machinery tools, or equipment.
