Oceanography and Marine Biology are two branches under the study of the ocean. Both oceanography and Marine biology are parts of the ocean that must be studied, especially by those who are closer to beach e.g., mariners or sailors.

Oceanography has to do with the scientific study and the exploration of oceans and ocean floor. Oceanography has to do with the scientific ways of studying different lives that exist in the ocean, their impact on the ocean and how they can be useful to people on the land. This will make you see a lot of things and different animals that live inside the ocean.

Physical features of the ocean, including the geographical location of the ocean, are studied under oceanography. Marine biology, on the other hand, is the branch of biology that deals with the study of different organisms that live inside the ocean. Marine biologists have done a lot of works in identifying various microorganisms in the sea by studying them individually.
