What is the difference between Registered and Certified Mail?

Sometimes, you may want to send mail and make sure that it gets to the destination. The best way to do this is to mail the parcel registered or certified mail. Then you have more assurance that the mail will get to its destination. However, there are differences between mailing something as registered mail and certified mail. There are two different things that you get when you mail something as certified as registered.

If you mail something as registered mail, then you get some insurance on your parcel. If you make the parcel certified mail, then you will get a certificate of mailing. You can mail something as registered mail overseas, but you can’t mail something overseas as certified. Registered mail typically costs a lot more.
