John Locke was a philosopher from England. He was known as the “Father of Liberalism.” He was known for Enlightenment. Locke did not believe that the king should have a divine right. Locke believed in what would later become embedded in a crucial American document.

John Locke was a philosopher from England. He was known as the “Father of Liberalism.”
He believed that everyone should have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. He also believed that there is an agreement between leaders and citizens. He also believed that rulers could be kicked out of their leadership role. Hobbs was also a philosopher from England, but his ideas were different than John Locke’s. Hobbs seems to think that man has more control over himself socially compared to what John Locke thought about man as a social animal.
