Wave election is a political term in the United States especially during election period. The term is majorly used to describe an election outcome or cycle in which a political party enjoyed a landslide victory in an election. A party with the highest number of elected members in the US House of representatives or US Senate election would said to have enjoyed a wave election.

There are so many factors that can influence a significant election gain for a political party.
