Aspen trees clone each and every year. Cloning is so scientific but then again, nature invented the art of it. Aspen trees are noted for their amazing ability to regenerate their vegetation by shoots and also by what are called suckers which rise up alongside their root system. The sprouting causes many genetically identical twin trees which are called clones.

Sometimes there is only one clone in a grove and other times there are many. It is astounding that even after thorough scientific testing, the twin clones re proven to be exactly identical. The difference in vegetation cloning done by nature and human cloning done by man is that nature is much more responsible and the motives are not questionable.
