There are a plethora of side effects of taking medications on a regular basis. First of all, many medications such as antipsychotics and antidepressants can cause weight gain. They may also make you feel numb and not like yourself. Drugs can also affect a person's energy levels to the point that they can't even hold down a job.

These types of medications have the potential to cause drowsiness, which can make your sleep cycle irregular, cause you to be unable to socialize normally, make you unable to drive, and can also severely limit your productivity.
