There may be a time when you need to resign from a position for whatever reason. In order for your resignation to be considered official, you must write a letter of resignation. There are several tips to include in your letter. As the employee, you will want to include the reason you are leaving your job. Also, include the date of the last day you will work. You may need to research first about how much time you are required to give.

The standard amount of time is two weeks. However, different companies require different amounts of time. Also, in your reference letter, you may want to offer to help train someone or ask for a reference. You don’t want to brag about your new position or be negative.
