The correct answer to this question is: NOT ALL MEXICAN FOOD CAN INDUCE LABOR. However, spicy Mexican dishes have been claimed to 1) induce labor because spicy food can stimulate or irritate the digestive system and since the uterus is located near the intestines, the irritation or the stimulation can trigger the uterus to contract, and 2) stimulate the production of the hormone prostaglandin which helps contract the body’s muscles that also play a key role in inducing labor.

However, it is also worthy to note that there is actually no scientific evidence which proves that eating spicy or hot foods can really induce labor. Although a lot of people claim that the signal which the uterus receives from the intestine can make it contract, it still hasn’t been proven yet. But it’s still worth a try, because it doesn’t really hurt to give this theory a try.
