At one point, scientists conducted studies to determine why Chinese food would cause hunger after consuming it especially compared to other foods. At first, these scientists believed that Chinese food had a large amount of a preservative in it which in turn caused greater hunger pangs than foods that did not use as much of the preservative. Now, scientists are finding out that most, if not all, of Chinese dishes include either rice or pasta.

Other meals may include potatoes or other vegetables. These are carbs and carbs are known for being unhealthy. The reason they are unhealthy is because it takes our bodies more insulin to digest these two foods. Since the body is working harder to digest the food, you will be hungry sooner.
