There are a few fruits that comes into mind when we talk about fruits that are good for our eyes. The fruit which tops the list would be carrots because they contain beta carotene, a type of vitamin A which helps our retina and the other parts of our eye for properly function and which also promotes good night vision.
It has been found by different researches that people who eats carrots regularly also lessens their risk of developing cataracts as they grow old. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that carrots are the only fruit which contains beta carotene. There are a few more fruits which contain this kind of antioxidant such as apricots, cantaloupes, mangoes, peaches and winter squash.
