When you see white and red mulberries for the first time, you may think that they are the same. The more that you look at them, the more that you will see their differences. White Mulberry originally came from China. Red Mulberry, on the other hand, comes from the United States. Another difference that will make you distinguish one from the other is the leaves.

Red mulberry leaves will come with a fuzzy bottom side. If you would hold them, they are generally rough. White mulberry leaves, on the other hand, will be bright and shiny. The color of the growth twigs will also be different. With red mulberries that will have pale tan growth twigs. For the white ones, it will be pink and brown.
