Sea otters are mammals that live primarily in or near the Pacific Ocean. Sea otters are mainly small, but they can be as big as 100 pounds. These animals have heavy fur. Sea otters could live on the land, but they prefer to live in the water. Like most animals, sea otters are prey to other animals. Sea otters are mostly eaten by orca whales. On the other hand, the sea otters will eat snails and clams off the ocean floor.
Sometimes, they will eat fish. Since sea otters swim in the ocean and even to the bottom of the ocean, they become close to their predator of the orca whales. Also, they must come up for air since they have lungs, so orca whales could see them too.
