The answer is letter Boston Terrier. The first American dog breed is the Boston Terrier. It is the type of dog commonly called the American Gentleman which originates in the United States of America and they were accepted by the American Kennel Club as a non-sporting dog breed in 1893. Aside from being called the American Gentleman, Boston Terriers are also called Boston Bull, Boston Bull Terrier and Boxwood.

Boston Terriers can grow 9 to 15 inches, but the weight of a male and female Boston Terrier differs – 8 to 25 pounds for male and 6 to 22 pounds for female. They are known for being bright, friendly and amusing and their life expectancy ranges from 11 to 13 years of age.
