Dogs are one of the most popular animals all over the world. They have a number of different purposes, from being pets, service animals to help those with medical conditions, and help police officers in investigations. There are hundreds of dog breeds that exist. AMSTAFF and APBT are two of them.

APT stands for American Pit Bull Terrier, while AMSTAFF stands for American Staffordshire Terrier. Both of these breeds started in Britain, before moving to America. One of the main differences between these two dog breeds is the size of the dog. APBT is much heavier, for it can weigh up to 60 lbs, while AMSTAFF weighs up to 50 lbs.

If in case you are not too familiar with these terms, you should realize that these refer to dog breeds. People become confused because they seem similar to each other. When you say ABPT, this means American Pit Bull Terrier. amstaff, on the other hand, refers to American Staffordshire Terrier. Take note that AMSTAFF is known to be something that will be used as fighting pits. When you check out the two, you will see that APBT is known to be the dog breed that is known to be small and lean, especially when you would compare it to amstaff. Take note that the colors of these two dog breeds are also different from each other. Their weight is also different from each other, with the APBT being heavier as compared to the amstaff.

AMSTAFF and APBT are two dog breeds with so many similarities. One of these similarities is that both share the same origin. Both were initially reared in the British Isles, but APBT later got into America. However, there are still some little differences between the two. One of the clear-cut differences between AMSTAFF and APBT is their size.

AMSTAFF and APBT are two dog breeds with so many similarities. One of these similarities is that
APBT or American Pit Bull Terrier is smaller in size compared to AMSTAFF or American Staffordshire Terrier. Another way of differentiating between the two dog breeds is by comparing their weight. The AMSTAFF has a weight ranging from 40 to 50 lbs. In contrast, the APBT has a weight ranging from 30 to 60 lbs. In terms of height, there is a little difference between the two. The AMSTAFF can be of different heights, usually between 17 to 19 inches. The APBT can also be of different heights, usually between 18 to 22 inches. In terms of color, APBT and AMSTAFF come in different colors just that the former has a shiny, thick coat, whereas the latter has a soft, dense coat.
