- both cover international events; however, americans mostly focus on their involvement in any such event and heavily focus on their involvement in war and other violent issues. canadian news focus on how they are helping out such violent issues.- they differ in the words that they use. the american news coverage focuses on words like destruction and war and terrorist whereas canadians use words like resolution, unity peace and fire power- the american news used images to support their story that were violently graphic such as soldiers, weapons, flags and images of death and destruction whereas the canadian coverage chose images such as student-protests, ambulances, and politicians- the anchor and the backdrop of the anchor were different as well. the american news anchor wore red, white and blue, was a man with a serious tone and the backdrop was an image of the american flag. the canadian news featured a woman with a soothing voice with a backdrop of a computer newsroom. - the american news mostly focused on the americans involement in the war and the canadian news went from international to local including a focus on the peace-keeping missions of canadian citizens
