True-true, unless youre an endurance-trained athlete. for example, walking a mile burns about 100 calories regardless of physical condition. running a mile will burn the same 100 calories - it is just that it will take less time.in terms of calories burned when not exercising, it is really not how aerobically fit you are, it is how much muscle you have. a pound of fat burns about two calories a day. a pound of muscle burns 30 to 50 calories a day. therefore, the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, even if you dont exercise.individuals who are aerobically fit burn more fat during exercise than unfit individuals. the total number of calories is the same - it is just that the unfit person will rely more on carbohydrates as a fuel source.
