There are different types of diets that are available. The vegan diet is considered to be important mainly because it is very strict. While the food that you eat may be limited, it will help if you know specifically what are the food products that you can and cannot eat.

Remember that you can consume as many fruits and vegetables as you want. You can also consume a lot of legumes which means that you can eat beans, peas, and lentils. There are also some carbohydrates that you can consume such as pasta, rice, and bread. If you need dairy, get to know the various dairy alternatives. You will be surprised with what you can get.

One of the most common problems faced by vegans is the problem of nutrient deficiencies. This is because vegans don't like eating animal foods, probably because of moral reasons or health reasons. This, however, creates some sort of nutrient deficiencies in them since they won't be getting vital nutrients from other sources of food such as meat, fish, and dairy. To solve this problem, vegans are usually advised to eat plant alternatives that will replace the nutrients from animal products. That said, vegans now have different kinds of food they can eat to get these nutrients. For instance, legumes are examples of iron and protein-rich plant alternatives vegans can eat. Common examples of legumes you can eat as a vegan are peas, lentils, and beans. By taking these legumes, you will be getting nutrients such as iron, fiber, magnesium, antioxidants, zinc, and folate. Other examples of vegan foods are Hemp, Flax and Chia Seeds, Tofu, etc.
