The CPT code is the term used to describe the different treatments that the person have undergone when the consultation was taking place. There are various treatments that are available like a laboratory, diagnostic, surgical, and so much more. The ICD code, on the other hand, is the term used to describe a type of disease that has been diagnosed or a medical condition.

A lot of people are saying that the CPT code is considered to be more complex and complicated as compared to the ICD code. These manual codes are actually very helpful because these codes are being used not only by medical practitioners but also by billers.
