The words any and some are both determiners. These two words are synonymous with each other and are often used interchangeably to state an unspecified quantity or numbers of objects, events, or people only when it is casual. It is commonly used when specific or exact numbers are irrelevant or if the precise number is unknown.

Any and some are both used for affirmative and negative questions. Any is used as a negative answer to statements. It is also used when the statement is affirmative or positive. It is also utilized when the response of a question is affirmative.
