The flu is a viral infection that can be spread through humans, birds, and animals. The influenza virus comes in three different forms. These include types A, B, and C. Flu is very contagious. It is a virus that is spread through the air.

Even though many people die each year from the flu, the majority of the population recovers rather quickly. A fever, on the other hand, is an abnormally high body temperature, which is often accompanied by shivering, headache, and mental issues, which is rare but not unreported.

When a person obtains a fever, it suggests that the body is fighting an infection. Fever is a common symptom during viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections. The pattern of the fever can assist a more precise picture of a diagnosis.
