The correct answer to this question is August 14, 2020. This is when the chairman of NBCUniversal is slated to retire from his role. His stepdown has been headline news because he is one of the leaders of the television industry. Burke's stepdown was to come after the Summer Olympics, which has since been postponed due to the coronavirus.

Jeff Shell will be replacing him. Steve Burke's tenure at NBC will not be in vain, for he has accomplished alot during his time. For example, he helped usher in the streaming service that NBC use, which is now called Peacock.

Steve Burke, the chairman of NBCUniversal, is set to retire on August 14, 2020. Burke is known to be one of the towering figures in the industry, and the fact that he is stepping down is a big deal for everybody. The person who will replace him is Jeff Shell.

He will step down after the Summer Olympics. Burke has always said that even though this is his dream job, he also knows when he has done enough. He feels that it is about time that he passes on the role and the responsibility of being chairman to someone who will be leading the company in a different way.
