The National Broadcasting Company NBC is owned by Comcast, which is owned by shareholders. NBC is an American commercial radio and television network that provides people with different information.

NBC started on the 2nd of August 2004 and was formerly called the NBC Universal, Inc. NBC was formed with the merger of General Electric’s NBC with Vivendi Universal’s film and television. GE had the largest amount of share by holding 80% of the subsidiary, and Vivendi had 20%.

In 2011, Comcast attained 51% of GE shares and became the major shareholder of the company.
NBC has a lot of activities going on since the 1900s. In the 1980s, they opened another cannel that anchored America’s talking and CNBC.

In 1995, NBC started operating the NBC desktop video. It was used to deliver financial information to people on the PC. NBC has succeeded in creating more cable networks since its formation.

NBCUniversal is the subsidiary of Comcast Corporation. This was started out in the year 2004 when NBC and Vivendi Universal entertainment merged. It was in the year 2011 when Comcast acquired more than half of the shares of NBCUniversal. Over the next few years, Comcast paid for the other half from General Electric so that they can own the whole company.

NBC is a mass media entertainment company. There are different things that NBC offers right now. NBC sports are very popular, especially for those who would like to be updated with the latest things that are happening to the sports that people are interested in.
