A corrupt country is hard to get away from, but it can be done. The first step in fixing a corrupt country is acknowledging that the country is corrupt. Corruption in a country oftentimes starts at the top with the leaders of the country, such as the politicians and other elected officials. It can also trickle down into police officers, teachers, and other careers that help shape the country.
An example of corruption is a politician stealing money from the government and using it as their own. Once it is acknowledged that corruption has occurred, the citizens can take their country back by voting those politicians and other leaders out.
Fixing a corrupt country is not going to be an easy task, but it is achievable. Whenever issues like this are raised, people are always quick to think that the politicians and other elected officials are the most corrupt, whereas everybody is actively taking part in the system. At times, politicians get away with their crimes because they are being assisted by those who are working under them. The best way I believe corruption can be effectively tackled in a country is when every citizen decides to do what is right.
Corruption is not only limited to stealing from the government account; there are other crimes that aid the growth of corruption in a country. When people start doing what is right, stealing from the government or among themselves will be highly detested. Also, the younger ones need to be thought about the negative implications of corruption on the growth of the country.
