Pre-opening party for zoo employees and members. Zoos often offer membership options to the general public. A zoo might plan special events that are available to people who have a zoo membership. In the example, the zoo is opening a new animal exhibit. By inviting members to a special pre-opening party, members will be the first visitors to see the koala-bear exhibit. The members may tell others about the new exhibit and encourage them to visit the zoo. Generally, city zoos are not designed to handle charter-bus tours. The zoos employees may not have musical talent. Providing free ice cream during a specific time frame on a set day is not a special event.
