The barcode and the RFID may seem similar but their differences will allow you to know their differences. The barcode is usually scanned one at a time while the RFID will allow this to be scanned all together which can make the process easier and faster. These are both means that are used when you want to collect data.

The barcode is normally placed on paper or other materials that can become weathered immediately while the RFID is usually placed on something that will be able to withstand the test of time. The type of data that can be placed in the barcode is usually more limited as compared to the details that will be placed on the RFID.
