Despite the fact that the world is surrounded by water, there are still some places experiencing the scarcity of water. While some countries can boost of constant water supply, there are countries that are battling with a scarcity of water. More often than not, water scarcity can be as a result of factors like geographical location, pollution, limited freshwater resources, and natural disasters.
The most affected countries when it comes to the issue of water scarcity are; Somalia, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, Haiti, Laos, Chad, Ethiopia, and Afghanistan, and so many others. Countries like Somalia and Syria are this category because of the impact of several wars they have fought individually. Most of their sources of water have been contaminated by a lot of chemicals. Egypt, on the other hand, is suffering from water scarcity because there has been a decrease in the flow of water from the river Nile, which is their major source of water.
