Why did BlackBerry decline in prominence?

Blackberry was once a leader in the world of smart phone technology. But, they made a few bad choices that would lead to their steady decline. Now, they are basically non-existent except for a few fans and some who simply haven't upgraded for whatever reason. Blackberry failed to bond with their users. Pure and simple, they didn't establish their brand and make their customers williing to patronize them through thick and thin as some of the other smart phone companies have...like Apple.

They also decided not to make a dash to win the race against time with new features, but chose to perfect what they already had. Their customers were not loyal enouch to appreciate the kindness and switched on over to what they felt was bigger and better. Although you'll see a Blackberry every now and again, they are scarce. it is doubtful that they will ever regain the popularity they once held because they haven't changed enough of their tactics in order to make things work.
