Yes, I believe women empowerment and feminism share some of the same concepts. When I think of women empowerment, I think of UN Women, the “United Nations (UN) Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women” created by the UN in July 2010. This organization is a global champion “dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women.”

Feminism seeks to allow women the same political, social and economic freedoms as men. Feminism is more of a movement and it is not structured like an organization, but women’s empowerment and feminism both want gender equality.
