It is evident that dogs have more sensitive ears as compared to human beings. They can hear four times more than humans even if they are hearing sounds that are from a distance. There are some dogs that may have more sensitive ears than other dogs. It is important that dogs will not be too exposed to loud sounds as this may hurt their ears.

Some humans forget about this and they may play sounds that may cause some problems with their dog’s hearing. There are also some dogs who are more sensitive to sound. It is best that your dog will undergo proper checkup to ensure that its ears are working properly.

Dogs have a very acute sense of hearing. While their sense of smell ranks first, their hearing is not too far behind. Dogs hear much better than humans do; over four times greater to be exact. You may see a dog cocking his head and although that can mean a lot of things, often the reason is to one in on a sound that is far away in the distance.

Dogs that have erect ears with little hair can hear better than dogs with floppy or excessively hairy ears. Dogs hear a frequency range of 40 to 60,000 Hz while a human range is between 20 and 20,000 Hz.
