For you to help your dog to be quieter, you need to know why it is aggressive. Some dogs are trained to be bold; some are aggressive when they are hurt or reacting to something. To make your dog less aggressive, do not shout at the dog, that will not help, it will make the situation worse.

If you know why your dog is aggressive, attend to that need, and the dog will become quieter. If the dog is hurt, treat the wound. Pay attention to its needs. If the dog has always been aggressive, you need to train the dog to be less aggressive. Everyone involved in that dog’s life must cooperate with you to help the dog quieter and help deal with other behavioral issues.

Dogs are supposed to be fun to be with, and they are usually sweet. There are moments, however, when some dogs become aggressive. It may be because of the way that they were treated or the things that they have gone through. To make an aggressive dog quieter, you always need to remain calm.

The more you shoot, the more aggressive the dog will become. You also need to know what may be potentially causing aggression. Your dog may be naturally sweet but is showing some signs of aggression right now. It might be hurting, or it may not be feeling good. Remember not to punish the aggressive behavior of the dog as the dog may become more aggressive in the future.

There are some dogs that can be very scary when they are being aggressive. There are various reasons for this. First, they may be trained for it. Second, they may be reacting to something that they are seeing. There are also instances when dogs can become aggressive because they want to protect their owners.

When your dog is starting to show signs that it will hurt the individuals that are within the area, you can try to make your dog calm down by saying stop in a firm voice. You may also want to distract the dog. It will help make the dog calmer for sure. If a dog becomes aggressive all of a sudden, this may be a sign of sickness.

When trying to get your aggressive dog to quiet down, first make sure NOT to yell at them. When you yell at your dog to be quiet it sounds like you are barking along with them, so they will continue to bark. Being consistent in your training is key, if you really want to teach your aggressive dog to be more quiet, everyone in your dog's life must work with him to stop barking as well. If you are serious, you can not allow your dog to get away with inappropropriate behavior.

Removing what motivates your dog to bark is key to teaching them to be quiet. If seeing cars through the living room windows makes your dog bark, close the windows. Making sure your dog gets enough exercise because it will make him calm as well. Dogs who don't get enough exercise will bark more than those who do.
